Dirk Rensmann was born in Essen in 1972 – nine years after Kurt Dussander had left the city. In the 1990’s, he co-edited the German Stephen King info magazine, published by the King Readers Association Germany (KRAG). Together with his novelist-wife Nicole, their two children, two dogs and seven cats, he lives near Duesseldorf and Cologne and makes his living as a freelancing surveying engineer.
